Speech and Language Therapy

Speech and language services at ICT are provided by ASHA certified and California board certified, licensed Speech Language Pathologists or CFY’s.  Services include assessment, diagnosis, treatment and family/caregiver education in the areas of communication development.   Direct therapy to children is provided in natural occurring settings: the home, community, integrated infant-toddler programs or the outpatient center.  Direct intervention includes therapy to address delays and disorders involving pre-linguistic communication, non-verbal language, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic language, speech development and motor speech disorders that include apraxia of speech and dysarthria.   Methodologies utilized include relational intervention strategies, directional intervention strategies, oral motor strategies, AAC, and blended strategies to facilitate speech development and remediation; and communication development.   Indirect services include ongoing consultation and collaboration with specialized staff, intensive ABA teams, and school based programs as needed.   If you are interested in our Speech and Language services please contact us.
