Christina Gillen, cgillen@icantoolc.com

Christina Gillen graduated in 2007 from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Religious Studies and a minor in Education.  She began working with children with special needs in 2005 while interning at Ellwood Elementary School in Goleta, California as an aide in a 2nd grade inclusion classroom.  This position sparked Christina’s passion for working in this field, and she spent the next two years working as a teacher’s aide in a variety of different pre-kindergarten and elementary schools in Santa Barbara county.  After graduating she moved back to her hometown in Fremont, California and began working at I Can Too! Learning Center in May 2007 out of the East Bay office and is currently a Case Supervisor.

Vittoria Paige, vpaige@icantoolc.com

Prior to her work with developmentally disabled youth, Vittoria spent 2 years researching behavior and language development.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Anthropology with emphasis in Psychobiology and Biological Anthropology from UC Davis.  Vittoria has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism since 2002.  After 4 years in the field, Vittoria began to doubt the method of intervention she was providing and quickly began searching for answers.  “‘If a child cannot learn from the way we are teaching, then we must teach in a way the child can learn,’” Vittoria recalls.  “It is the philosophy ICanToo! was founded on…and it was the answer I had been looking for” says Vittoria.  She has also combined her anthropology and ABA backgounds to present a lecture at the CalABA conference on the role of cultural awareness in developing a successful in-home ABA program.  Vittoria currently works out of the San Mateo and Hayward offices as a Trainer.
